The Gossip Girl lead, 26, who took a hiatus from acting after the series' finale to spend time with husband Ryan Reynolds and focus on a pending lifestyle venture, is finally returning to acting — and on the big screen, too!
The newlywed was announced as the new lead of romantic drama The Age of Adaline alongside Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, Lionsgate/Lakeshore announced Wednesday. In the film, according to Deadline, Lively plays an "ageless beauty," born at the turn of the 20th century, stops aging after a near-death accident. She then commences a worldwide journey that continues on through the century, keeping her secret safe, until she meets a man for whom she realizes her immortality is worth losing.
