‘Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?’ First Look: Macbeth Has Never Been Same-Sexier

Looks like James Franco’s latest weird, avant-garde project — in this case a remake of Lifetime’s Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?will be as delightfully weird and campy as you’d hope. While the 1996 version of Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? was your stereotypical Lifetime movie complete with a stalker boyfriend and Tori Spelling, Franco’s take features lesbian vampires — lesbian vampires with an appreciation for Shakespeare, that is.

In the exclusive clip above, Franco, who plays a college theater professor, gets an eyeful when his student Leah (Leila George) performs the “Double, double, toil and trouble” scene from Macbeth — with an assist from her girlfriend’s very touchy-feely coven. Enjoy.

Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? — featuring Tori Spelling as Leah’s mother — premieres Saturday, June 18 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime. The original Mother, May I… will air Friday, June 17 at 8 p.m. on LMN.
