Netflix has renewed its new summer series Orange Is the New Black before it even premieres, Deadline.com reports.
The series, from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, is based on the true story of a Brooklyn woman who has to put her engagement and life on hold when she's sentenced to serve time in a federal women's prison.
All 13 episodes of Orange Is the New Black will debut on Netflix on July 11. The second season will also consist of 13 episodes. This marks Netflix's fourth original series to earn a renewal, following Lilyhammer, House of Cards and, most recently, Hemlock Grove.
