NBC is extending playtime on Wednesday nights. The network has ordered four more episodes of the freshman sitcom Guys with Kids, Deadline reports.

That will bring the series' first-season episode total to 17, five short of the traditional network 22-episode season. The pick-up follows fellow NBC first-year comedies, Go On and The New Normal, which were picked up for full seasons last month.

Guys with Kids' most recent episode brought in 3.8 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the adults ages 18-49 demographic. Guys with Kids, executive-produced by Jimmy Fallon, stars Jesse Bradford, Anthony Anderson and Zach Cregger as three best friends dealing with their various parental struggles.

Guys with Kids airs Wednesdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
