‘Nashville’ Sneak Peek: Juliette’s Got a New Man and Avery’s Seeing Green
Avery, you can’t have your cake (or heirloom tomato marinara) and eat it, too.
In this sneak peek of Wednesday’s new Nashville episode, “It’s Sure Gonna Hurt,” Avery (Jonathan Jackson) drops off little Cadence to spend time with mom Juliette (Hayden Panettiere). Suspiciously, he smells something good cooking in the kitchen, but Juliette couldn’t tell a spatula from a can opener. Turns out, her co-star and new paramour, Noah West (Derek Hough), is whipping up a delicious meal. And he looks very good doing it.

“That’s fast,” Avery remarks, clearly unsettled that Juliette has a new boyfriend serious enough to meet Cadence.
“He’s a good guy,” Juliette says. “And Cadence is too young to understand, which is why I’ve never had a problem with her spending time with Layla.”
Zing! She’s got you there. But while Avery has moved on with Layla (Aubrey Peeples), his heart seems like it might still belong with Juliette, judging by the jealous expression on his face.
Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
