Multitasking Meredith Joins Mile High Club and Performs Brain Surgery on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Meredith Grey was a busy character on Thursday night’s Grey’s Anatomy. It took 13 seasons, but the beloved doctor finally reached the mile high club — and performed brain surgery at 35,000 feet.

Meredith found herself traveling on the same flight as her current romantic interest, Riggs. When Meredith headed to the restroom, Riggs followed her into the cramped compartment — and the two joined the mile high club.

After enjoying Grey’s anatomy, Riggs exited the bathroom with Meredith as a vicious spell of turbulence caused passengers to bounce around the fuselage. One person suffered an epidural hematoma.

Since the plane was caught in a storm and couldn’t land, Meredith performed in-flight brain surgery to alleviate the pressure in the injured man’s head. Using just a syringe and a straw, Meredith successfully drained the passenger’s brain and saved the day.

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Watch recent episodes of Grey’s Anatomy for free on Yahoo View.
