‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Key Art: “Control Is An Illusion”

“Control is an illusion” — so goes the tagline for the second season of USA Network’s acclaimed thriller series Mr. Robot, returning July 13. Of course, if you watched season 1, you know that control isn’t the only thing that’s illusory. Frankly, we can’t even talk about just why that is without spoiling everything that happened last year, but suffice it to say practically everything taken for granted in the first episode was upended by the final moments of the season finale.

Presumably, more of the same is in store for season 2, which sees the return of the main cast and continues the story of Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek ), a troubled security engineer who falls in with a group of anarchist hacktivists led by enigmatic Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) working to destroy the consumer debt industry. No details about the upcoming run of episodes have been released yet, but the show did put out two new season 2 character posters featuring Elliot and Mr. Robot. Check them out below.
