‘Morning Joe’ Accuses Kellyanne Conway of Being a ‘Leaker Extraordinaire’ (Video)

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough accused White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway of being a “leaker extraordinaire” on Friday, shortly after President Trump tweeted about leakers in the FBI.

Scarborough was discussing how Trump staffers Steve Bannon, Jared Kushner and Reince Priebus might have different views, but don’t leak information about each other. That’s when he threw Conway under the bus.

“This could sound ugly but it’s just not. It’s just the truth. I am reporting. If you read a really ugly story about Reince Priebus or an ugly story about Sean [Spicer], the chances are good it came from Kellyanne,” Scarborough said. “I mean, Kellyanne has been the leaker extraordinaire.”

Scarborough went on to say that when he’s reading the paper, he often thinks Conway should have a byline on various stories.

Trump took to Twitter on Friday morning to bash the FBI hours after CNN reported the FBI rejected a White House request to discredit media reports about alleged communications between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives during the 2016 presidential campaign.

POTUS has been critical of leaks throughout his presidency. Earlier this month, when Michael Flynn resigned as national security adviser after less than a month in the position, Trump tweeted that the “real story” was not Flynn’s resignation, but how the media obtained the information that led to his departure.

Trump clearly has an issue with leakers within his administration, writing, “FIND NOW,” in all caps.

Conway, who was Trump’s campaign manager, became the first successful female presidential campaign manager in America’s history. Frequent TV appearances have resulted in Conway emerging as a household name who is often mocked on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

Trump has stood by her after a handful of recent incidents, including offering mixed messages about why former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn stepped down and being accused of violating ethics policies when she promoted Ivanka Trump’s products on Fox News.
