Morgan Freeman Narrates Pedestrians on the Sidewalk for Jimmy Kimmel

On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Morgan Freeman participated in a fun bit where he narrated a pedestrian’s movements outside Kimmel’s Hollywood studio. Freeman’s voice is perfect for narration. He’s done it for March of the Penguins, War of the Worlds, Million Dollar Baby, and Shawshank Redemption. Not surprisingly, he managed to make footage of a man with a selfie stick compelling.

“There he was, the man in the red checkered shirt, holding his selfie stick,” observed Freeman. “Trying to get to that perfect selfie. Perfect-Selfie Paul. That’s what we called him.” As the man tried figuring out a good angle for his shot, Freeman gave commentary, “Could this be the one? The light’s just right. Maybe over by this wall? No.” As ‘Paul’ walked away, Freeman noted, “Not perfect enough for Perfect-Selfie Paul.”

The stakes got even higher when Freeman noticed a second person with a selfie stick. “But look who it is, another selfie-stick guy,” said Freeman. “Selfie-Stick Sam. That’s what we called him. Just two grown-ass men taking pictures of themselves on a f***ing stick.”
