Missouri Man Charged In Alleged Twilight Shooting Plot

A Missouri man has been charged after officials say he bought movie tickets, assault rifles and ammunition and planned an Aurora, Colo.-style shooting at a Twilight showing.

Blaec Lammers, 20, of Bolivar, Miss. faces charges of first-degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action, the News-Leader reports. Lammers told police he bought two assault rifles and 400 rounds of ammunition, and bought tickets to a Sunday screening.

He told police he had "a lot in common" with people involved in "recent shootings in the news," according to the charging documents, the News-Leader reports. Police said Lammers' mother turned him in to police.

Lammers is being held under $500,000 bail.

A spokesman for Summit/Lionsgate could not immediately be reached for comment.
