ITV Studios Global Entertainment said it has closed deals for the series with more than 150 countries worldwide, including with Sky Germany, Spain's Movistar and UTV Ireland. Victoria opened with a bang in the U.K., pulling 6.1 million viewers and a 30 percent share on its premiere on ITV, the highest share for a new drama on any channel in Britain this year.

ITV Studios are backing the series, which stars Jenna Coleman as a young Queen Victoria and Tom Hughes as Prince Albert, together with PBS' Masterpiece. The British network has already commissioned a second season of the show from producers Mammoth Screen.

Masterpiece plans to bow the first season of Victoria next year in Downton Abbey's former slot.

Mipcom runs Oct.17-20 in Cannes.
