Mila Kunis & Bryan Cranston Hit ‘Jackpot’; Will Gluck Directing With IM Global Financing – Cannes

EXCLUSIVE: Mila Kunis and Bryan Cranston are attached to star in Jackpot with Will Gluck (Annie) directing. Jennifer Garner is also in talks to join the ensemble. Dave Callaham (The Expendables) is scripting the project. It is a remake of a 2011 Norwegian action comedy directed by Magnus Martens based on a Jo Nesbo story about a man who wakes up in a strip bar clutching a shotgun surrounded by dead men and police guns aimed at him.

Marty Katz as well as handle sales at Cannes. CAA and UTA are repping domestic rights. This one is liable to shift quickly, with a number of interested domestic buyers already circling the project. Jackpot is a splashy entry into the Cannes sales pool thanks to its photogenic cast and commercial storyline. Production is set to start this summer.

Kunis has Bad Moms coming out this July via STX, with the project already generating buzz after a well-received trailer dropped recently. Her co-stars in that are Kristen Bell and Christina Applegate. As Deadline revealed exclusively, Cranston is on board the Weinstein Company’s English-language remake of French megahit Intouchables opposite Kevin Hart. Cranston is coming off a critically acclaimed turn as blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo in Trumbo. He has several films in the pipeline including Robin Swicord’s Wakefield opposite Garner and Brad Furman’s Pablo Escobar crime pic The Infiltrator. He is repped by UTA.

Kunis is repped by CAA and Curtis Talent Management. Gluck is repped by UTA.
