Michael Moore is unveiling another new movie.
The Where to Invade Next filmmaker announced Michael Moore in TrumpLand on Tuesday. It will screen for the first time at New York City’s IFC Center on Tuesday evening for free. The film will begin its theatrical run Oct. 19.
The project is an iteration of Moore’s one-man play, which he had hoped to perform at a central Ohio theater. He explained last month that Newark’s Midland Theatre “banned” him from presenting and filming the show there because because officials there consider him too controversial (though the theater said the decision not to finalize the contract was based on several factors, including a too-short time frame and questions about what the production involved).
The film’s official synopsis reads: “See the film Ohio Republicans tried to shut down. Oscar-winner Michael Moore dives right into hostile territory with his daring and hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand in the weeks before the 2016 election.”
Moore tweeted a photo from his editing room, which included a still of Trump’s children: Ivanka, Eric and Donald Trump Jr.
