Melissa McCarthy Rides Podium Through the Streets of NYC as Sean Spicer

Melissa McCarthy is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, and in another week full of political controversies, it was inevitable that she’d once again be doing her spot-on impression of White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

Less expected, however, was seeing her, in full Spicer garb, riding a motorized podium through midtown Manhattan. New Yorkers woke up to this very scene Friday morning, and word and video quickly spread all over social media. The Spicey surprise came in the same week that SNL released a promo video featuring McCarthy getting Spiced up, set to West Side Story‘s “I Feel Pretty.”

Theories are being thrown around regarding what the new Spiceman sketch will be about, but considering he’s been getting lambasted online for allegedly hiding among the bushes following President Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, we have a few guesses.
