Dancing With the Stars wasn't all pain and no gain for Melissa Gilbert!
After lasting 8 weeks on Season 14 of DWTS, Gilbert and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were sent home in a double elimination Tuesday night. (Disney star Roshon Fegan and his partner Chelsie Hightower were also eliminated.)
But the former Little House On the Prairie star, who also celebrated her 48th birthday Tuesday, told Us Weekly she was leaving on a "high note."
"I did things that I didn't think I'd do so... we are definitely going out on a high note," she said. "I'm definitely okay."
And Gilbert even lost weight while competing on the show. "I don't know pounds [lost] but I went from a size 6 to a 2," the slimmer star revealed to Us. "I have a 26 inch waist now."
But, post-elimination, the actress is relieved she won't have to get scantily clad for dance routines. Gilbert explained, "There was a revealing outfit coming up, so I wasn't going to get to eat this week and now I can!"
While she did shed some tears after her elimination on the show, Gilbert said, "I'm amazed I even made it this far."
Chmerkovskiy added, "I'm so proud of her."
