Matt Damon and Will Arnett Discuss Bromantic First Meet on ‘Late Late Show’
On The Late Late Show, Matt Damon and Will Arnett talked about how they met through their mutual buddy and star of The Office, John Krasinski. Damon was at Krasinski’s house one day when Arnett came over. Arnett said he and Krasinski are both huge fans of the Bourne films, but it turns out Damon is a huge Arrested Development fan, so the feeling was mutual. Upon their meeting, Damon went right in for the bear hug. Arnett said, “Matt picked me up and shook me in the air. He’s really strong.”
Damon, a tad embarrassed, went on to say, “I’m a bigger fan of Arrested Development. So he tried to come at me with this ‘I’m a big fan’ thing, and I came way over the top.”
Turns out Arnett had no problem with a little Damon squeeze, saying, “I wanted Jason Bourne to pick me up. That’s the best.”
The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
