Maryland Governor and Baltimore Mayor Walk Out on Don Lemon Interview

Things got tense when CNN’s Don Lemon interviewed Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, on Monday.

A state of emergency was issued for the city of Baltimore after protests turned violent over the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray. Gray died while in police custody, due to a spinal injury. The events that led to his death remain unclear.

Lemon confronted the leaders on why Baltimore’s State of Emergency hadn’t been issued sooner and refused to drop the topic throughout the interview.

Even as the interview neared a close, Lemon continued asking questions as Governor Hogan and Mayor Rawlings-Blake made their exit.
