‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’: Props to the Prop Master
Recently Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. invited reporters onto the Zephyr-1 to talk about the "LMD" arc. Prop master Scott Bauer — S.H.I.E.L.D.’s equivalent of James Bond’s Q — was on hand as well for a little show and tell. From spy gizmos to inscrutable intergalactic technology, it all comes from Bauer’s team — sometimes, because TV production is so fast, the gizmos are put together in as little as three days. Bauer brought some of his new and classic pieces from the show, explained how some designs inspire others, and explained how to build a deadly alien weapon out of rubber, plastic, and some old vacuum cleaner parts.
