Mark Pellington is continuing his relationship with ABC.
The producer-director has inked a one-year development deal with a pilot at ABC and ABC Studios, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Under the pact, the former Cold Case producer-director will develop projects for ABC Studios and serve as an EP and helm any project that is picked up.
The agreement comes a week after Pellington sold his first project to the studio. Shelter, from The Shield scribe John Hlavin, is a modern crime drama about an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms whose working-class Chicago life collides with his flashy L.A. cover when his wife is exposed to his criminal world, trapping them both undercover. 3 Arts' Tom Lassally is on board to exec produce.
Pellington most recently directed the pilot for ABC's midseason drama Red Widow and recently signed on to direct Jerry Bruckheimer's NBC pilot The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives.
Repped by UTA, 3 Arts and Gang Tyre, Pellington's credits also include features The Mothman Prophecies, Arlington Road and music videos for artists including Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails.
