Mariah Carey Defends 'I Don't Know Her' Beef With Jennifer Lopez

Mariah Carey was a little late to Watch What Happens Live, but that didn’t keep viewers from getting all the latest gossip on her “feud” with Jennifer Lopez. After trading seats with host Andy Cohen and repeatedly primping herself in the monitor, Carey went on to discuss her long-standing beef with Lopez.

Apparently, in the early 2000s, Carey responded to a question about Lopez with, “I don’t know her.” This was perceived as the diva casting shade. Carey explained that she was just saying that she doesn’t know Lopez personally, “I don’t know her. What am I supposed to say — Oh, we’re all Hollywood and let’s all pretend we’re best friends?” The diva went on to say, “It’s not that I don’t know who she is, of course I do.”

Carey spent the rest of her time on the show making idle chitchat and skirting questions.
