‘Lip Sync Battle’ Recap: Tim Tebow Just Too Much for Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev was great on Thursday’s Lip Sync Battle, but The Vampire Diaries star just didn’t have enough to defeat former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow. The actress lip-synced to Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” while rubbing up on the self-professed virgin, which drew a lot of jealous glares from the horde of adoring Tebow fans in the audience. For her second piece, Nina performed OMI’s “Cheerleader” dressed as… a football player? Regardless, she did a bunch of cheerleader moves.
Tebow started the night off by wooing the ladies in the audience with his performance of Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time.” He followed it up by performing Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” while dressed as Rocky Balboa, even donning shorts like the ones made famous in Rocky 3! In the end, Tebow was just too much for Nina, and he was crowned the champion.
Lip Sync Battle airs Thursdays at 10pm on Spike.
