'The Leftovers,' 'Mr. Robot' and 'black-ish' Among 2016 Peabody Award Winners

An HBO dystopia, a USA Network thriller and an ABC family comedy are among the 75th Annual Peabody Awards’ entertainment winners.

The organization has chosen to recognize The Leftovers, Mr. Robot and black-ish for excellence in electronic media, it announced Friday.

Rounding out the Peabody Awards’ latest batch of winners are: Lifetime’s UnREAL, Netflix’s Master of None, Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Beasts of No Nation, Amazon’s Transparent, PBS’ Wolf Hall and Sundance’s Deutschland 83.

The Peabody Awards, based at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, are a very high honor in electronic media, recognizing excellence in radio, TV and the blogosphere.
