LED Designs Dazzle Judges on ‘Project Runway Junior’

On Project Runway Junior, the contestants were challenged with making a look that literally lit up the runway by using fiber optic technology. They were given a budget of $350 and only 10 hours. One major challenge was those pesky battery packs. One designer, Chris, knew exactly the spot, saying he planned to just stick everything in the model’s boobs. This idea, he said, was inspired by women who put french fries in their bras and eat the fries while shopping. We all know people who do that, right?

After the french fries and battery packs were carefully hidden away, the designers took their illuminated looks to the stage, where their designs needed to look good in the dark and with the lights on.

The judges had some harsh critiques, but Chris stood up to their comments that his design lacked cohesion. “It’s not supposed to go together, but it does because I put it together and I said it does.”

Apparently this explanation worked — the judges decided that Chris’s design was the most brilliant.
