Kylie Jenner shows the downsides of growing up famous on 'Life of Kylie'
The newest reality show from the world of the Kardashians and Jenners is Life of Kylie. It focuses on Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the brood, and her day-to-day life. But many critics feel that the show’s two-part season premiere didn’t offer up the same carefree, fun escapism as Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
In one scene, Kylie sifted through her various prom date requests from eager teen fans and decided to go with Albert, a lonely kid without a date. This led to many sad reminders of Kylie’s lack of a normal childhood.
During the actual prom visit, Kylie’s appearance prevented it from being a “normal” experience, and she ended up having to spend most of the prom separated from the group, watching from the balcony.
Not everyone felt sorry for Kylie, however. Plenty of viewers called out the contradictions of her claims that she doesn’t want to be famous, all while starring on a reality show.
But one thing’s for sure: Being a divisive figure who’s famous for being famous is what the Kardashian family is all about.
