Also at the CW TCA panel today, the network announced that superhero animated series Vixen has been renewed for a second season on streaming service CW Seed. Its star, Megalyn Echikunwoke, will reprise her character in live-action form on the CW’s Arrow.

Vixen, from exec producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg, follows the adventures of a crimefighter whose superpower is to take on the capabilities of animals. The most recent six-episode season concluded September 29. The web series, which has included cross-over characters from both The Flash and Arrow, debuted on CW Seed last year.

Seed, which has served as an incubator for the linear network, has such upcoming shows as Attention Deficit Theater with Jaime King and “zom com” Saving the Human Race.
