Volleyball player Kerri Walsh Jennings has three Olympic gold medals -- and now three adorable kids, as well! On Saturday, April 6, the star athlete gave birth to her third child, a daughter named Scout Margery, with husband Casey Jennings, her rep confirms to Us.
"Our family feels so blessed to have this beautiful new addition to our family," the new mom said in a statement to Us Weekly. "We cherish our lil Scout already and can't wait to watch her as she grows in this world alongside her sweet big brothers."
Scout came into the world at 7:46 a.m., Walsh Jennings' rep confirms to Us, adding that "mother and baby are healthy and resting." She joins the couple's sons Joey, 3, and Sundance, 2.
"Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers," the Olympian said Saturday. "We appreciate them all so very much."
Walsh Jennings, 34, was actually five weeks pregnant with her daughter when she and partner Misty May-Treanor spiked their way to victory at the 2012 London Olympics. "When I was throwing my body around fearlessly, and going for gold for our country, I was pregnant, and today I'm 11 weeks pregnant," she told Matt Lauer later, noting that she didn't know about the baby at the time but suspected something was off since she felt "unreasonably moody."
"This little one is kicking my butt!" she said. "The first two were pretty easy, but with this one, I'm sick every day, I've got some awesome acne, I just feel different."
