KayCee Stroh and Ben Higginson welcomed their first child together in Utah on Wednesday, May 8, just before midnight , Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. The actress and the production company co-owner named their daughter Zetta Lee. The newborn weighed 8 lbs., 9 oz.
Stroh, best known for her role as "pop-and-lock girl" Martha Cox in the High School Musical trilogy, announced her pregnancy in November 2012. "It's been a long time coming. Ben and I have been waiting for the right time, but as anyone in the entertainment business learns, there is no right time," the former Celebrity Fit Club contestant told Us in a statement. "You just have to take that leap."
The star began working on Zetta Lee's nursery early on, using a blush pink and espresso brown color motif. "I wanted it to have an elegant feel but also bring a warm calming effect," Stroh explained. "Something timeless that still had that homeyness to it."
During her pregnancy, the Torrid spokeswoman became increasingly interested in leading a more natural, organic lifestyle. "It's funny how when it's not just about you anymore, your whole outlook changes," she told Us.
Stroh, 28, and Higginson, 29, tied the knot on Jan. 9, 2009, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The actress' High School Musical costars -- including Monique Coleman, Ryne Sanborn and Bart Johnson -- attended the ring ceremony and reception.
