"Almost Famous" star Kate Hudson has put on her dancing shoes for Season 4 of "Glee." Hudson, whose photo on set was tweeted by "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy yesterday, will show her legs and her mean side for six episodes of the series.
The actress will play Cassandra July, a witchy dance instructor at Rachel's new school, NYADA.
Lea Michele is definitely a fan. She told ET Canada, "I'm so obsessed with her. She's one of the greatest comedic actresses right now and I just think she's so great."
The Twitterverse picked up on the pic as well, loving the news that the big-screen star is moving to the small screen. Posted @BridgetCSays, "She looks like @britneyspears!!!"
But the actress also has some movies in the works: She wrapped "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" with Kiefer Sutherland, due out in 2013. And she's filming "Me and My Shadow" with "SNL's" Bill Hader and has signed on for the thriller "Everly."
Meanwhile, the mother of two has been enjoying some family time in London lately -- she was photographed with fiancé Matt Bellamy and their son, 1-year-old Bingham, after the Muse frontman had performed the biggest gig of his career, the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics.
And the star was also seen spending time with her older son, 8-year-old Ryder (with ex-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes), as he helped by hauling groceries while Hudson held Bingham.
The flexible 33-year-old has already traded in her walking shoes for dance kicks, going from relaxed in London to glamorous on set. The new season of "Glee" premieres in less than a month. Stay tuned.
Season 4 of "Glee" premieres Thursday, 9/13 at 9 PM on Fox.
