As they unite in live action form in theaters next year in Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will return in animated form to the Cartoon Network series. “Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge,” the network says.

The series will once again reunite two mainstays of DC animated productions: Kevin Conroy leads the voice cast as Batman, along with Mark Hamill as Joker, both of whom have voiced their respective characters in various shows, direct to video animated films, and video games starting with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. Other voice cast includes James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold, among others.

Justice League Action isn’t a follow up to DC’s 1992-2006 DC Animated Universe family of shows, but many familiar faces are at work behind the scenes. Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) serves as executive producer with Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) serving as producers.
