Josh Duggar Sued Over His Ashley Madison Profile Photo
Like most people who delve into the world of online dating, Josh Duggar wasn’t entirely forthcoming about his looks. And now it could cost him, thanks to a new lawsuit filed by a man who claims that the disgraced former reality TV star jacked his face for his Ashley Madison account.
In the lawsuit, filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Los Angeles-based DJ Matt McCarthy claim that Duggar used “several” of McCarthy’s pictures on his Ashley Madison profile, as well as his Twitter and OkCupid accounts.
As a result, McCarthy claims, friends and family came to believe that McCarthy was somehow involved in Duggar’s “licentious, illegal and morally despicable misconduct.” McCarthy also claims that he received “harassing and humiliating messages” referring to him as “Josh Duggar,” “Duggar’s Boy Toy” and “DJ Duggar.”

McCarthy goes on to note that he lost work as the result of the association and has suffered a laundry list of ills, including “severe mental anguish and emotional distress,” frequent panic attacks and insomnia.
Duggar, formerly of the TLC series “19 Kids and Counting,” became the center of scandal last year, when he admitted to molesting several underage girls, including his own sisters, when he was a teenager.
A subsequent security breach of Ashley Madison — a website that helps facilitate extramarital affairs — revealed that Duggar had two accounts with the site.

Duggar later admitted to infidelity and called himself “the biggest hypocrite ever.”
Alleging violation of common law right to privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress and other counts, McCarthy is seeking undisclosed damages.
