John Travolta Talks About Becoming Robert Shapiro

John Travolta is welcomed with a standing ovation on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. He shares with his adoring fans the excitement he felt playing Robert Shapiro, lead council of the O.J. Simpson trial. Stephen Colbert asks the Pulp Fiction star whether he felt any pressure playing a real person. Travolta replies, “Well, I don’t mind that, because it gives you some sort of a blueprint to work from. I kind of enjoy that.” Travolta expresses that his concern in playing a real person lies more in that, since he is such a recognizable person, he wants to make sure the audience doesn’t watch the show and see John Travolta disguised as Robert Shapiro.
