John Legend Makes Mundane Things Sound Sexy by Singing About Them

John Legend visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and turned up the show’s sensuality during a segment called, “John Legend Makes Mundane Things Sound Sexy.”

Legend sat down at the piano in the band area and sang about things like shopping at Costco, pointing out, “There’s no such thing as too many paper towels.”

The 10-time Grammy winner also sang about clothing. Legend crooned, “Baby, my beige turtleneck is pilling, so please wash it inside out, tumble dry low, tumble dry low.”

And while you probably won’t hear any Costco errand or laundry washing singles drop anytime soon, it is nice that he made mundane things sound sexy.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
