Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers admit to being super nervous about return to 'SNL'

Seth Meyers joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they chatted about just how nervous they both were before their recent appearance together on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update: Summer Edition. “My heart was pounding through my suit,” said Meyers. Fallon said, “I felt like I was going to step into the ring and fight somebody.”

Although each of them has years of SNL experience and hosts his own late night show, live television was kind of scary for these two. Meyers said, “No matter how many SNL’s you do, you remember your first SNL and how terrified you were there. And that fear muscle memory is there. Also, just that it’s live. It still matters. That still matters.”

Besides the live aspect of Weekend Update, SNL still hasn’t worked out all the kinks. “My rolling chair didn’t even really roll at one point. It rolled out, but then it couldn’t roll this way,” said Fallon.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Tonight Show free on Yahoo View.
