Jennifer Lopez Performs Emotional Tribute to Selena
Jennifer Lopez performed an emotional tribute to the late singer, Selena, marking the 20th anniversary of her death, at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards. As you may know, Lopez got her big break for portraying the Latin artist in the 1997 biopic named after her.
She performed a collection of some of Selena’s most popular songs, including “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “Como La Flor,” “No Me Queda Mas,” and, “I Could Fall in Love.”
On Today, speaking with Natalie Morales, Lopez discussed Selena’s impact on her, saying, “It’s a sad story. It still gets to me to this day, you know, because it did mark my life at that time and to get to know the family and work with them and everything, it was an important part of my life. Still is, it still is 20 years later.”
