'Girls' Cast: 'Nervous,' 'Sad' About Saying Goodbye

Since 2012, viewers have followed Hannah, Marnie, Jessa, and Shoshanna through their 20s and into adulthood. Now, with the news that the hit HBO series Girls will end after its 6th season, Yahoo TV talked to executive producer Jenni Konner and the rest of the cast about saying goodbye. “Lena [Dunham] and I and Judd [Apatow], we never wanted to overstay our welcome. We feel so lucky that even in the 5th season, people still are talking about our show,” says Konner.

The cast also reminisced about their time on the hit series and why they are sad about leaving. While Jemima Kirke said she’s “nervous that it’s coming to an end,” it was Alex Karpovsky who said it best. “After being on the show for five or six years, you form a family. As corny as it sounds, it’s true. You spend enough time with these people, you form strong bonds.”

Girls airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on HBO
