Jenna Dewan Tatum Dated Justin Timberlake After Britney Breakup, ‘Not a Rebound’

On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Jenna Dewan Tatum admitted to dating Justin Timberlake shortly after his breakup with pop superstar Britney Spears in the early 2000s. At the time, Dewan Tatum was a backup dancer for NSync.

Interestingly enough, Dewan Tatum can be seen dancing with Timberlake during the NSync performance at the 2002 Grammy Awards, when he happened to be singing the group’s hit song “Girlfriend.” But don’t say that Dewan Tatum (just Dewan at the time) was a “rebound chick,” as Cohen made the mistake of doing. Dewan Tatum insisted that that was not the case.

Dewan Tatum also cleared up a rumor that was huge news at the time. It was reported in supermarket tabloids that Timberlake and Spears, after they broke up, got into an epic dance-off at a club. Dewan Tatum said that it never happened, though she and Cohen agreed how cool it would have been if it had.
