Newly named CNN chief Jeff Zucker says he'll exit his executive producer role at "Katie" by mid-January to focus on his new job.

"Obviously I'm going to be working full-time at CNN," he said in a conference call Thursday about his new job. "I'll be [at "Katie"] for a few more weeks helping with the transition and I'll be leaving there by the middle of January."
