Jeff Pierre Goes ‘Beyond’ For Freeform; Tania Raymonde Joins Amazon’s ‘Trial’

Jeff Pierre (Drumline: A New Beat) has booked a regular role on Freeform drama series Beyond. From Imperative Entertainment and Automatik, Beyond centers on a young man who wakes up from a coma after 12 years and discovers new supernatural abilities that propel him into the middle of a dangerous conspiracy. Pierre will play Jeff, former military, tough but vulnerable. He is obsessive and guilt-ridden while being driven by a higher calling. Pierre had a lead role on VH1’s Drumline: A New Beat and currently recurs on Showtime’s Shameless. He’s repped by Main Title and BRS/Gage.

Tania Raymonde (Lost) is set as a series regular opposite Billy Bob Thornton in Amazon’s upcoming original drama Trial, from executive producer David E. Kelley. The legal drama, which Kelley co-wrote with his Practice and Boston Legal producer Jonathan Shapiro, follows Billy McBride (Thornton), a once-powerful lawyer who has become a shell of his former self after losing a case that saw an innocent kid murdered. His guilt-driven alcoholism costs him his wife and his job as his longtime partner kicks him out of their law firm. Still hanging onto his dry charisma, Billy brings a case against his former partner, stir up his old ambition. Raymonde will play Brittany Gold, a legal secretary and old friend of Billy’s who moonlights as an escort. Raymonde, best known for her role as Alex Rousseau in Lost, recently starred in Lifetime movie Dirty Little Secret: The Jodi Arias Story. She’s repped by ICM Partners and Primary Wave Entertainment.
