James Corden and Danny McBride Play Michael Bolton and Kenny G in This Grammys Throwback Performance

On The Late Late Show Thursday, James Corden teamed up with Vice Principals star Danny McBride and took us back to the 1990 Grammy Awards. Corden came out dressed as Michael Bolton and McBride was playing the role of Kenny G as they performed “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” much like the real Bolton and G did 26 years ago.

Corden actually sang Bolton’s part, but it looks as though McBride’s soprano saxophone skills weren’t up to par, as Kenny G’s parts were dubbed in. But the pair did reenact the 1990 performance nearly verbatim, from how the announcer brought them onstage to Kenny G’s fist-pumps early in the performance.

It’s not entirely clear why The Late Late Show decided to pay homage to this performance in particular, but one look at the wigs Corden and McBride are wearing should be enough to make you stopping asking “why” and start saying “more, please.”
