Jackie Chan doesn’t understand why 'Rush Hour' is so popular

Jackie Chan dropped by Conan and revealed that although he’s mostly known to American audiences for his Rush Hour movies, he doesn’t really love them. Chan explained to Conan O’Brien that the dialogue in those films happens so fast that he doesn’t understand what’s being said. And when it comes time to deliver his lines, people laugh but he genuinely doesn’t understand why.

After appearing in over 150 films, in which he’s done all his own stunts, Chan wants to take a break from action movies to be seen as a “true” actor like Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman. He said that instead of doing endless sequels to Rush Hour, he’d like to be in a romantic movie with slow-motion, holding a female lead. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had any offers yet.
