Why ‘Insecure’ Creator Issa Rae Is Pushing for More Male Nudity

The creator and star of the HBO series Insecure visited The View and explained why she is pushing for more male nudity on her show. Rae said, “I wanted to even the playing field. There’s a lot of female nudity on television. And also I’m a red-blooded woman and I love male body parts.”

Rae went on to explain that it wasn’t exactly pulling teeth to persuade her male actors to pull off their clothes. She described an actor who was cast in the second season and had seen the first season as “super-game” for the nudity. The actor happily told Rae, “I guess I gotta start doing my squats ’cause I’m gonna show these cheeks.”
