‘I Love Lucy’ First Look: Lucy Is Pretty (Wobbly) in Pink in New Colorized Ep
If there’s ever a TV character who could learn from the maxim “Be careful what you wish for,” it’s Lucy Ricardo. CBS is once again celebrating the holidays with an I Love Lucy primetime special, and this year, fans will get their first look at the newly colorized episode “Lucy Gets in Pictures.” Originally aired on Feb. 21, 1955, “Pictures” finds Lucy realizing her lifelong dream of appearing on the big screen, when Ricky arranges for her to play a showgirl in a new musical.

As you’ll see in this exclusive preview of the colorized episode, when it comes time for Lucy’s big moment, an even bigger problem — her massive showgirl headpiece — threatens to ruin her shot at movie stardom.
The CBS special will also include a colorized version of “The Christmas Episode,” which originally aired in December 1956.
I Love Lucy Christmas Special airs Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
