How Rugby Ruined Russell Crowe’s Marriage

On CBS News Sunday Morning, Russell Crowe talked about how his passion for rugby led to him buying a team in South Sydney, which then led to marital problems between he and his wife of 12 years, singer/songwriter Danielle Spencer. He said that turning a perennial loser into a championship-caliber team took a lot of work, but it also took a toll on his marriage. He said, “Making a film is my job, and my wife clearly understands what my job is. But to her, I suppose, the football situation was needlessly taking myself away.”
