The 'Scandal' Stars Take Our Speed-Reading Challenge

The dialogue on Scandal is notoriously fast. Like, if-you-don’t-pay-attention-every-single-second-you-will-miss-a-line fast. How the actors can keep up with the pace is a mystery to us.

So when Yahoo TV got the chance to sit down with the cast members last weekend during PaleyFest, we decided to put them to the test — the speed test.

Scandal stars Katie Lowes, Darby Stanchfield, Scott Foley, Jeff Perry, and Joshua Malina took on the challenge of reading an Olivia Pope monologue as fast as possible. And it wasn’t just any monologue — it was the infamous “bitch baby” speech she thundered down on Cyrus last fall.

Who was the fastest of them all? Well, Lowes threw down the gauntlet when she declared, “I’m going to win this!” How did she stack up against her competitors co-stars?

The best part of the whole challenge was hearing the actors say “bitch baby” over and over again. It was too good not to make a mash-up out of!
