Prison Break alum Robert Knepper has joined the cast of Homeland, Showtime has confirmed to Variety.

Knepper will have a recurring role in the sixth season of Showtime’s critically-acclaimed espionage drama, playing General Jamie McClendon, the Department of Defense representative who is tasked with briefing the president-elect Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) and her team.

Knepper is staying busy these days. He is one of the many original Prison Break cast members who will return to Fox’s revival series. He’ll reprise his role as T-Bag.

Knepper is also set to appear in another revival series: Twin Peaks on Showtime, meaning he’ll be on two different shows on the premium cabler. Details on his role are being kept under wraps.

In anticipation of Homeland Season 6 — which premieres Sunday, Jan. 15 at 9 p.m. — Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin and exec producer Alex Gansa sat on a panel at TCA last week, teasing the upcoming season.
