'Hoarders' Is Back, and Messier Than Ever
If you’ve been hoarding old episodes of Hoarders since its cancellation in 2013, you can finally do a little DVR-decluttering. On May 28, Lifetime is officially reviving the Emmy-nominated reality series for a brand-new season entitled Hoarders: Family Secrets — and based on this trailer, the docudrama will once again be overflowing with a mixture of jaw-dropping clutter, tense confrontations, and family heartbreak.
The season premiere, which follows a Massachusetts family dealing with a serious hoarding problem, will raise the stakes even further by incorporating live segments into the one-hour show. (A second storyline involves another hoarder whose severe clutter could land him behind bars.) It all builds up to a live intervention that will hopefully bring positive changes for all involved — because the only thing that’s better than a clean home is a happy family. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to go clean out our storage closets.
