Hillary Clinton ‘Lies for a Living,’ Trump Campaign Manager Kellyanne Conway Tells Bill Maher (Video)

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway turned the tables on Bill Maher Friday night, telling the HBO host that her opposition to Hillary Clinton’s candidacy was because “I can’t support someone who lies for a living.”

“You just said you can’t support someone who ‘lies for a living,'” the “Real Time” host replied. “When I read a list of provable lies.”

Moments earlier in the interview, Maher had listed a series of false statements by Donald Trump, including statements about his ignorance of former Klan leader David Duke, his friendship with Vladimir Putin (whom he’s never met), and his opposition to the Iraq war despite taped statements to the contrary.

“Then why isn’t she way ahead?” Conway said. “She’s the one who has 66 percent of Americans saying she isn’t honest, that she isn’t trustworthy. … They know she deleted the emails, they know she isn’t telling the truth about her health condition.”

Though she had challenged Maher to confront her on specifics, Conway mostly sidestepped his list of factually questionable statements by Trump except to say that his support for the Iraq war was an offhand comment during a radio interview with Howard Stern.

However, she did say that the candidate did encourage her to go on Maher’s show — where she has made regular appearances for close to two decades (dating back to Maher’s earlier “Politically Incorrect” series).

“Tell him not to sue me again,” Maher joked.
