Hillary Clinton Jokingly Picks Beyoncé, George Clooney for VP
On Ellen, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton played a veep edition of “Who’d You Rather,” weighing potential vice presidents that included celebrities, musicians, fellow politicians, and even her own daughter, Chelsea.
When deciding between George Clooney and Tony Goldwyn (who plays President Grant on Scandal), Clinton took a lengthy pause before offering a polite compromise: “Tony could be the first term, and George could be the second term.”
Later in the game, Beyoncé popped up on the screen, sending the audience into immediate applause and prompting Clinton to name-check her latest album, Lemonade, by saying, “I really believe in making lemonade out of lemons.”
While most people received courteous consideration from Clinton, she laughed off one VP candidate: Bernie Sanders.
