Hilarious Donald Trump and ‘Legally Blonde’ Mashup on ‘The Tonight Show’

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy couldn’t help but poke a little fun at ol’ President Trump after he gave a commencement speech at Liberty University on Saturday. Fallon said, “I guess there was one awkward moment during the speech when Trump said that there are more job openings than ever. And the students said, ‘Yeah, ’cause you keep firing everyone.’”

During his speech, Trump said, “There may very well be a president or two in our midst. Anybody think they’re going to be president, raise your hand.” Jimmy joked, “Now raise your hand if you can start tomorrow. Great, it’s all yours. Please, thank you very much.”

But, all jokes aside, Jimmy went on to point out the uncanny similarity between Trump’s speech and Elle Wood’s speech from Legally Blonde. Fallon played a clip they had prepared in which Elle Woods and Trump take turns basically saying the same thing to the respective graduating classes. The major difference is at the end when Elle says, “We did it,” Trump says, “I did it.”

And though the speeches are similar, there’s one big difference between these two characters. Elle woke up one day and decided to go to law school, but Trump woke up one day and decided he wanted to be president.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
