Here's What the ‘Teletubbies’ Smiling Sun Baby Looks Like Now

The Teletubbies invaded the set of Lorraine, a British talk show, 20 years after debuting on television. Host Lorraine Kelly also welcomed another guest, Jess Smith, the smiling Sun Baby from the show’s opening.

The host asked Smith how she ended up landing the role, and Smith explained that her mom happened to bring her to the hospital for a checkup the same day Teletubbies producers had been there asking that any info on smiley babies be passed along.

Teletubbies fans remember Smith as the face shown giggling and laughing in the sun at the start of every episode. She still has a big smile today, and she says that while not many people recognize her, once she points it out to them, they see the resemblance.
